Gloria Rimkunas is the founder of Little Wishes Parties. She has transformed her passion for creativity and love for working with children into a unique boutique party planning service. Specializing in customizable events with teepee setups, decor, and stunning balloon designs. Gloria crafts stress-free celebrations that leave lasting memories. We asked her a few questions about what inspired Little Wishes, the evolving tween-party trends, and her approach to creating fun, fresh experiences for kids.

-What inspired you to start Little Wishes, and how have tween-party trends changed since you started?

Once I decided to make a career change, I was inspired to start Little Wishes because of my love for working with children. I have always enjoyed being creative and planning events, so children's parties seemed to be the obvious choice for my business. 

The tween party trends have evolved since I started in 2018.  Daytime parties were all the rage in the beginning, but now teepee sleepovers have also become a huge hit!

-How does your background play into how you plan parties that feel fun and fresh for tweens?

I was a dance teacher for 26 years working with kids ages 3-14 years old. When you                

 work with kids for that long, you learn a lot about what they think is fun and trendy. My tween parties have an elevated look and feel because as much as tweens want the spa parties, the arts and crafts, and balloon decor, they do not want it to feel “kiddish”. 

-What are some of the biggest trends you’re seeing in tween parties right now?

Some of the biggest trends in kid's parties right now are inspired by the Taylor Swift craze! Tweens enjoy personalizing jean jackets, and making friendship bracelets, and believe it or not slime-making is still going strong. 

-What makes a Little Wishes Parties party setup stand out from other party planning services?

Little Wishes is a one-of-a-kind full-service party planning company. My staff and I do it all! We provide the tables/chairs, table decor, the balloon backdrops, and we stay to execute the party and entertain the kids for the duration of the party. Most other vendors only provide one of the many services required to plan and execute a party. My clients love that they do not have to work with multiple vendors when they choose Little Wishes for their children’s parties.

-Can you share some of your current favorite tween girl themes with us?

My current favorite tween girl themes are “Taylor Swift Eras” and “Sephora” which are the most popular right now.

-What are some unique ways parents can make their tween’s party feel more personal and special?

One of the best ways to make a tween’s party feel special is by adding personalized touches. The tween’s guests also love it and it creates a much more personalized feel for the entire party.    

-What’s your favorite part of the planning process?

My favorite part of the planning process is seeing each client’s vision come to life on the day of the party and experiencing the enjoyment of every child as we host the party.

-Where do you see Little Wishes Parties in the next few years as tween-party trends keep evolving?

Your guess is as good as mine on this one! I follow the trends as they come and go, but the one thing I know for sure is kids love a fun and creative experience with their friends. Kids take great pride in something they get to create and/or decorate side by side with their friends.

-What’s the best part about being a mom and planning these celebrations for kids?

The best part about being in this business as a mom to my 10-year-old daughter is she’s my go-to person for advice when I am planning parties. She has no problem expressing her opinion and I appreciate it. I might not always agree, but I do value her input.

-Anything else you’d love people to know about Little Wishes Parties and how you help families create these fun memories?

I want parents to know they will enjoy a beautiful, fun, memorable, and stress-free party for their children if they choose Little Wishes. Along with creating a beautiful setup, we also entertain the kids from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave the party.
